Retro Sweets

Retro sweets are the ones you remember from the corner shop, and they are still the backbone of a good pick and mix. Black Jacks and Fruit Salad chews at 2p-shop prices, white mice, chocolate jazzies, wine gums, sugared almonds, liquorice comfits and the whole bon bon family.

Most of these have been made the same way for fifty years or more, by the same British firms — Swizzels in Derbyshire, Walker's Nonsuch in Staffordshire, Taveners, Barratt, Hannah's. We buy them in bulk and scoop them out to order rather than selling you a sealed bag, which is how a sweet shop is supposed to work.

Everything here is sold by the 100g scoop. Five scoops make a 500g pick and mix pouch at £8.99, ten make a 1kg pouch at £14.99, or pick nine for the nine-compartment sweet tray.

Flat-rate UK delivery £3.49, free on orders over £25. Weighed out and posted from Lancashire the day your order is packed.
