Ordering
How does pick and mix work?
You choose a pouch size, then fill it with 100g scoops of whatever you like. Five scoops make a 500g pouch, ten make a 1kg pouch, and the sweet tray takes nine. There is no minimum on any single sweet — all five scoops can be the same thing if you want.
How many sweets are in a 100g scoop?
It depends entirely on the sweet. A 100g scoop of jelly beans is a lot of jelly beans; a 100g scoop of mega jazzies is about six. We weigh to 100g rather than counting, which is how a sweet shop has always done it.
Can I have all ten scoops of the same sweet?
Yes. People do it with cola bottles and bon bons all the time.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Email us straight away. We pack in batches, so if we have not filled your pouch yet we will happily change or cancel it.
Delivery
How much is delivery?
£3.49 flat rate anywhere in the UK, and free on orders over £25. No postcode surcharges — the Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland pay the same as everyone else.
How long does it take?
Order before 1pm on a working day and we aim to post the same day, by Royal Mail 1st Class. See delivery for the detail.
Do I need to be in?
Not for a 500g pouch — it is designed to fit through a standard letterbox. The 1kg pouch and the sweet tray go as a small parcel.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Not yet. UK addresses only for now.
The sweets themselves
How long do they keep?
Most lines are good for several months in the sealed pouch. Because we scoop from stock we have opened recently rather than bagging up weeks in advance, you are getting them fresher than from a sealed bag off a supermarket shelf.
Will chocolate melt in the post?
It can, above about 20°C. Between May and September we will email you before posting chocolate lines if the forecast is against us, and offer to swap them or hold the order. If chocolate does arrive melted, send us a photo and we will replace or refund it.
Do you have vegan sweets?
Yes — enough to fill a whole pouch. See vegan sweets. Every line there is declared vegan by the manufacturer; we do not infer it ourselves.
Do you have halal sweets?
Yes. Halal sweets includes the Sweetzone cola bottles, fizzy cola bottles and peach rings, plus gobstoppers, liquorice wheels, Toxic Waste and Millions. A full 1kg pouch or a sweet tray can be built entirely from that page.
Are your sweets gluten free?
Several lines are made without gluten-containing ingredients — see gluten free sweets. But we weigh by hand with shared scoops, so we cannot rule out cross-contact. If you are coeliac, buy sealed packs from Bags & Boxes instead. Please read our allergen information.
I have a nut allergy. Can I order?
Not our loose pick and mix, no. Nuts are present in the space where we scoop and cross-contact is likely. Sealed packs only, and please read the allergen page first.
Do you sell sugar free sweets?
We stock sugar free fruit salad chews, made by Stockley's in Lancashire. We will add more if there is demand — tell us.
Parties and gifts
Can I get a sweet tray for a party?
That is exactly what it is for. Nine compartments, nine sweets you choose, 100g in each, £17.99. It arrives filled and lidded, ready for the table. You can theme it — all pink, all retro, all vegan, all halal.
Do you do wedding favours or large orders?
Yes. Email david@scoopandbloom.co.uk with roughly what you need and when, and we will put a price together.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes — just put the recipient's address as the delivery address. There are no prices on anything inside the parcel.
About us
Where are you based?
On the Lancashire coast, and we post from there. A shop at 69–71 Victoria Road West, Cleveleys opens in 2027, with ice cream and desserts added then. See about us.
Can I visit?
Not yet. We are online only until the Cleveleys shop opens.
Can I request a sweet you do not stock?
Please do. If our wholesaler carries it and there is demand, we will add it.
